At the 2023 Good Festival of Speed, an exciting new electric vehicle (EV) will make its debut in the First Glance category. Known as the AIM EV Sport 01, this groundbreaking concept car is the creation of AIM, a renowned Japanese engineering firm, aiming to showcase its cutting-edge APM200 electric motor technology. The overwhelming response received by the EV Sport 01 has prompted AIM to consider producing a limited number for enthusiasts. In the meantime, AIM CEO Yukinori Suzuki will personally pilot the concept car at the prestigious Goodwood event. With a rear-wheel-drive configuration, the EV Sport 01 utilizes two motors on the same axle, each dedicated to powering its respective wheel, resulting in an advanced torque vectoring system. Boasting an impressive 483 horsepower and 513 lb-ft of torque, the car delivers exhilarating performance. The EV Sport 01’s design draws inspiration from Japanese sports cars of the past, with a distinctive long hood and short deck fastback layout reminiscent of classics like the Datsun 280Z. Adding to its allure, the car’s sleek lines were penned by the renowned designer Shiro Nakamura, known for his work on iconic Nissan vehicles such as the Cube and R35 GT-R.
