ECCENTRICA DIABLO RESTOMOD COUPE-Thumbnail

It has been 22 years since the final Diablo rolled off the production line in 2001. This significant passage of time has made it an ideal candidate for a resto-mod treatment, and the task was undertaken by Eccentrica, a San Marino-based firm. While the exterior modifications are subtle, they are also extensive, with nearly every part of the car being replaced except for the windshield. The iconic shape of the Diablo remains instantly recognizable, but the lines have been given a new tautness that would surely make Marcello Gandini proud. Enhancements have been made to the front and rear tracks, resulting in a wider stance and shorter overhangs. The aerodynamics and cooling have also been improved, and the majority of panels now feature lightweight carbon fiber construction. Drawing inspiration from the Diablo GTR, the original popup headlights have been replaced with innovative “pop-down” units. These headlights slide down to reveal LED daytime running lights and the main headlights themselves.
