With its name as a clue, the Silent 79 Yacht sets itself apart from traditional vessels by eschewing noisy combustion engines. Instead, this 79-foot yacht relies on an array of 70 photovoltaic panels for its onboard and propulsion systems. The yacht incorporates a lithium-ion battery bank to store energy for cloudy days, while a generator stands ready as an emergency backup. Boasting ample deck space around the perimeter and shaded by the solar panels in the center, this yacht offers customizable configurations with four to six bedrooms. Scheduled for a 2020 launch, two yachts have already been claimed, leaving a third awaiting its future owner.
